Ethics & Advocacy
Our Commitment
Visit Pleasant Hill is committed to ethical destination marketing that benefits our hotels, local businesses, residents, and the broader community.
We prioritize transparency in how tourism is promoted and measured, ensuring that our work reflects real economic value and community alignment.
Responsible Tourism
We promote travel experiences that respect our community, support local businesses, and encourage thoughtful exploration of Pleasant Hill and the surrounding region.
Our goal is to attract visitors who contribute positively to the local economy while maintaining the quality of life for residents.
Accountability and Transparency
We are accountable to our stakeholders, including our hotel partners, the City of Pleasant Hill, and our community. Visit Pleasant Hill is not a department of the City of Pleasant Hill. Our destination marketing work is funded through the Pleasant Hill Tourism Improvement District, which provides dedicated resources to increase overnight visitation and support Pleasant Hill’s lodging businesses and visitor economy.
Through Board oversight, public meetings, annual reporting, strategic planning, performance measurement, and responsible stewardship of Tourism Improvement District funds, we work to ensure that our programs remain aligned with the district’s purpose and deliver measurable results.
Regional Collaboration
As part of the East Bay and broader Bay Area tourism ecosystem, Visit Pleasant Hill collaborates with regional partners to strengthen visitation, share resources, and elevate the destination collectively.
